The Meaning of some Other Numbers

▪ 17 – Symbol of New Resurrected Life, as Jesus was Resurrected on the 17th day of Nisan – its significance as the First or beginning of things can be explored further by clicking here.

▪ 25 – Symbol of All of God’s Promises and also possible year of Rapture, which would be the ultimate fulfilment of its meaning because All of God’s promises for our Life would come to fruition at that time – Click Here - for further information on the biblical support for this.

▪ 26 – The most significant aspect of this number is that it represents the personal name of God as represented by the Tetragrammaton, the 4 Hebrew consonants י (Yod), ה (He), ו (Vav) and ה (He) that spell YHVH or יהוה or with the vowels יְהוָֹה as seen in various locations in the KJV bible, which supports its translation of Jehovah, in contrast to the common modern translation of Yahweh.

– Significantly Verse 26 of Genesis 1 is also the first time the Godhead's intention to create beings patterned after themselves is revealed.

– Intriguingly the value in Hebrew Gematria for Man or Adam (אָדָם) is 45 and the value for Eve (חַוָּה) is 19 and so if you subtract 19 from 45, just as Eve was taken out of Adam's side, you get 26.

And God said, "Let Us make man (adam) in Our image, after Our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the fowl of heaven . . ."

▪ 32 – I believe this to be the year that Jesus died on the Cross; and also to possibly be the year of the Second Coming, a time of both Judgement and Salvation by Jesus (8) for those in the world (4) – 8x4=32.

▪ 35 – this is a product of 5 and 7, which suggests the 'Completion (7) of the work of Grace (5)'.

- This is interesting when looking at Gen 35 that is loaded with hidden meanings that relate to this idea of God finishing His work of Grace in the lives of His people. This can be seen in the following events in that chapter:
-God tells Jacob to go to Bethel (בֵּית־אֵל) that means the House of God to dwell there. THis has always been God's primary plan to dwell with His People.
- God reminds Jacob that his name shall no longer be Jacob, but Israel (יִשְׂרָאֵל), God's Covenant name for His people. God also confirms the details of the Covenant with promises that he will be fruitful and multiply with nations coming from his loins; and that the land promised to Abraham and Isaac would now belong to Israel and his Seed.
- THe Tribes that will form the nation of Israel is completed when Rachel gives birth to Israel's 12th Son Benjamin.
- Rachel (whose name means a Ewe or Sheep) travails in Hard Labor and dies giving birth to Benjamin who will complete the Tribes of Israel. This is a simile for the Lord's suffering Servant (the Messiah Jesus) who before He dies for His people is compared to a lamb being led to the slaughter and as a silent Sheep (רָחֵל or Rachel) before its Shearers in Isaiah 53:7
- Isaac who was a picture of the promised Son in Jesus dies at 180 years of age which is 18 (6+6+6) x 10 a picture of Jesus who became Sin in our place and fulfilling the Law (10) by dying our death on the Cross, in the greatest act of love and grace the world will ever know.

So clearly the content of this chapter fulfills the basic meaning of Completing the Work of Grace as indicated in the numbers.

▪ 45 – is connected to the Ark of the Covenant and therefore to God’s Throne on Earth and is also the product of every number from 1 to 9 which makes it foundational to every number that exists in our world. Essentially it is a reminder that our God is a God of numbers and the patterns we find throughout Scripture and His plan for Salvation are not random but an insight into His grand master plan for Salvation / Redemption.

▪ 47 – this corresponds to the year that the UN passed Resolution 181 allowing for Israel to be recreated, but because it did not happen at that time, it remains symbolic of the promise of what is about to be fulfilled. Interestingly, this is 100 + 81 = 181. As will be seen 100 represents the fallen generation and 81 is central to the rebirth of Israel – He is a God of the details.

▪48 – the significance of this number is seen in the dimensions of the Tabernacle, which will be discussed further later, but here it is sufficient to understand that the Tabernacle that comprised the Holy of Holies and the Holy Place was literally a dwelling where God manifested His presence in a Tangible form with the Pillar of Cloud and Pillar of Fire finally coming to rest above it when Israel settled in the wilderness. Importantly, the actual Walls of the Tabernacle were made from exactly 48 Boards. This is no doubt why Israel was reborn as a Nation in 1948. It is primary about God’s presence, but it is also notable that 48 is (24 x 2) with 24 representing the Elders in Heaven, who were no doubt a representation of believers from both the old testament (12 tribes) + new testament (12 apostles). So at the core of it is the number 12 that represents Jesus as the ‘Seed of the Woman’ who according to Gen 3:15 would crush Satan’s Head, noting that the first words recorded of Jesus was when He was 12, the same age that a girl becomes a woman in Israel during her Bat-mitzvah. In this sense, 48 (12 x 4) is also prophecy that Jesus would fulfil in His incarnation when He went to the Cross-defeating Satan. So it is also about His victory that can be ours.

▪50 – Jubilee and restoration of everything that has been lost. As such, it is the restoration of God’s promises..

▪ 57 – takes its meaning from the Timeline of Noah’s Flood in that when the Flood had finished and the face of the ground was dry it was another 57 days before God told him to go out from the Ark. So 57 is symbolic of being hidden in Christ because the Ark is a picture of Jesus. In this sense, it is also like 40 (time of trial finishing) + 17 (new resurrected life) coming to fruition, as 40+17 = 57.

▪ 57  is also 20+37=57 with 20 being the age of responsibility where people can either declare that they Trust God or not. For example when the Israelites came out of Egypt those who were 20 years and older that did not Trust God to give them the Land because they saw the Giants all died in the Wilderness. However, those that did Trust God went in and received the Promised Land with God (37) giving them the victory. Essentially all those that Trusted God had a stamp of 57 upon them which was equivalent to being Hidden in Christ and the enemy could not defeat them because they were really fighting the God of Israel not the people. 

▪ As an aside, 57 is also the year of my birth and in a strange coincidence (perhaps), the two dates that I believe are strong possibilities for the Rapture and the 2nd Coming are 25 and 32 and if you add them 25 + 32 = 57. If these dates were correct then both of these events would truly be the fulfilment of being Hidden in Jesus

▪ 98 – represents the number of years mankind walked with God before falling at the age of 99. It was 2 sabbatical periods (or 49 x 2) that had occurred consecutively after Adam was created, remembering that until mankind had fallen there was no need of a Jubilee Year, which later on occurred every 50th year and represented the restoration of all that had been lost at the end of a sabbatical period of 49 years (7 X7) - Click Here - for further details and biblical support for this.

▪ 100 – (98 +2) First generation (ultimately represents all of fallen humanity) starting with Cain and Able, noting Adam was a special creation, he was not part of the first generation. However, the number 2 represents the Second Person of the Godhead who would come as the ‘Seed of the Woman’ and the second Adam to save all of humanity the descendants of Adam.

▪ 22 – Israel – This is both a physical nation descended from Abraham, as well as a symbol of all believers (Spiritual Israel). As such, it is a picture of all people who strive with God and prevail, receiving the ultimate blessing  - salvation and new life.

▪ 120 – (98 +22) – this is the limit of God striving with sinful man and so Israel which is God’s vehicle for Saving the world and is represented by the number 22 becomes the symbol of God striving with man in the years between when he last walked with God 98 and when he will be Judged at 12o.

▪ 144 – (98 + 46) – this is the number that God uses for saving all of humanity Jew and Gentile  and it is obtained by adding the number of the Son of Man (noting that 46 Chromosomes defines what it is to be human in our DNA) and Jesus took this flesh on so that he could die in our place. It is seen in the columns of the Tabernacle that is a picture of Jesus in the Old Testament. Significantly, 6 days of creation was also 144 hours so God has hidden in creation His intention to save anyone that Trusts Him.

▪ 130 – (98 + 32) – Seth whose name means “appointed” was born when Adam was 130 and the bible describes him as a replacement for Able who Cain killed. As such, the Messianic Line that ends in the birth of our Saviour was restarted 32 years after mankind last walked with God. I believe this is a hidden clue and pointer to when the Messiah will come back and when mankind will again walk with their creator - 2032
